Awards

As I posted before I received 2 awards and I'm very happy!

The first was the Sunshine award from Michelle at http://michelle-minithings.blogspot.com/

The Sunshine Award Rules...

1. Post the award on my own blog.
2. In a blog post, name six blogs that I enjoy.
3. Let your six named bloggers know that you are passing the award on to them.

I enjoy lots of blogs and always think it's difficult to choose, but I also know how fun it is to receive an award so I'm gonna name some blogs:

Thank you for brighten up my days with your blog!

The Kreativ Blogger award I received from Maria at http://diaryofaminiaturist.blogspot.com/. Thank you :)

The rules for the award are:

1.Thank the person that gave it to you.
2.Copy the logo and place it in your blog.
3.Link to the person who nominate you.
4.Name 7 things about yourself that nobody knows.
5.Nominate 7 kreativ bloggers.
6.Post link to the 7 blogs that you nominate.
7.Leave a comment on each of the blogs letting them know that you nominate them.

The things nobody knows about me......mmmhh...

1. I would love to live on a farm with my boyfriend and lots of animals
2. I'm constantly fighting my "inner critic", boy I can be a pain....;)
3. We own 2 birds and a dog in the house, a lot of birds in the garden and a couple of sheep in a grass-land of friends. If we had more land...(see 1 ;) )
4. I've got fibromyalgia that makes my energie and painlevel vary. Not very useful when you've got loads and loads of ideas in your head!
5. I really love to see other peoples abilities and creations. (you may know that..lol...I wouldn't be visiting your blogs else)
6. I like to study a lot. Information...just give me more!
7. I'm going to be married next year!!

The 7 people I would like to give this award to are:

Annemieke at http://hermelien.punt.nl/ (it's a dutch site)

I hope this award will pass on to all the other blogs I love!

I've been working on my house and it doesn't show much because it's all construction.
Like the windows on the sides and the front door I started on. This is how it looks like now:

The side opens up in the middle and a big part of the roof will be hinged too, so there will be good access. There will be 2 dormers on both sides too.

But between sawing, sanding and painting I really like to do something different, so here are some other creations:

A little embroidery kit from Atelier de Ooievaar I've bought at a fair and changed a little.

And I'm trying to weave a little blanket or rug, but it's difficult! I'll keep trying...:)

Last but nog least I've been rewarded by Maria with the Kreativ Blogger award and by Michelle with the Sunshine award. Thank you so much ladies!! Tomorrow I'll post about it and pass these compliments to other bloggers.

groetjes and see you!

Evelien

Long for spring

Everywhere in Blogland you see people long for spring. I also wish spring would start yesterday ;). Today I want to show you the carnation embroidery I finished.

On the background you see the color I picked for the master bedroom on the first floor. I plan to hang the carnation and other flowers on this wall.

When I was grocery shopping yesterday I came across these......carnations!!
Of course I couldn't resist them, so here you can see the colors I love for my house:

Grey's, green, wood and a little accent colour like pink.

Have a nice day!

Welcome

On behalf of my doggie and me!
It's about time I welcomed you here, because 9 new followers have arrived.

Starting with Miniaturemaid and Cheryl. I can't find links, but I now Blogger has problems sometimes, so if you do have a site/blog let me know, welcome!

Marit at http://blackcatcottage.blogspot.com/. She's very good in working with wood. I really like the tool she bought for it! Oh, and I had to keep Benz away from the screen, she didn't like the black cat. Think it's because she's so small, some cats are bigger then her! ;)

Michelle at
http://michelle-minithings.blogspot.com/. She's building a house in brocante style and I can't stop drewling over the nice pictures!

At
http://minilisa.blogspot.com/ you can see some very good results for workshops. I really like the attic you've made! And MiniLisa is also in the proces of renovating a house (1:1) I'm very curious, 'cause it looks really cozy!

Sylvia at
http://miniaturasnatasylvia.blogspot.com/ has a very lovely house called Villa Natalia. Have a look at all the details and beautiful stuff!

Bogna has 4 different blogs, but I'll give you one link:
http://dollknitandcrochet.blogspot.com/. Those dolls look beautiful and I wish I could design the patterns like she does. Very good crocheting.
and Meli at http://casitasdemeli.blogspot.com/ (thanks for adding your site) I've just started following you too and love your work!

Ingrid also added her site: it's http://www.mijndroomwereldje.blogspot.com . I really love the style and colours and also the houses she made for the ceramist and tailor.

Now I'm off taking some pictures for an update. See you!
