I've been working on my house and it doesn't show much because it's all construction.

Like the windows on the sides and the front door I started on. This is how it looks like now:

The side opens up in the middle and a big part of the roof will be hinged too, so there will be good access. There will be 2 dormers on both sides too.

But between sawing, sanding and painting I really like to do something different, so here are some other creations:

A little embroidery kit from Atelier de Ooievaar I've bought at a fair and changed a little.

And I'm trying to weave a little blanket or rug, but it's difficult! I'll keep trying...:)

Long for spring

Everywhere in Blogland you see people long for spring. I also wish spring would start yesterday ;). Today I want to show you the carnation embroidery I finished.



On the background you see the color I picked for the master bedroom on the first floor. I plan to hang the carnation and other flowers on this wall.

When I was grocery shopping yesterday I came across these......carnations!!

Of course I couldn't resist them, so here you can see the colors I love for my house:

Grey's, green, wood and a little accent colour like pink.

Embroidery

These are the pillows I promised to show you. I embroidered them without a pattern and I think I like the right one best.
















In the Dolls House Nederland magazine there was a pattern for some lovely embroidered slippers. I changed it into a Harry Potter themed one for my dear friend Annemieke who had her birthday last week. We were very surprised they actually fitted on her Harry Potter doll haha!!! I also gave her some pillows with the Hogwart logo printed on them for her 1:12 sofa.

I'm currently embroidering a carnation painting in miniature (pattern here) , so relaxing in front of the tv!

what's up..

I always want to post more often, but it never happens. I'm just amazed at how often other bloggers have something new to share. How do they do it?!
I can't say that I ever have a day without being creative, but the things I do take so long!

The pillow you see below I've been embroidering in the evenings. It's made for the mother of an ex fellow worker of mine. She gave me lots of embroidery things because she had to quit embroidering because of health problems (I'm so sorry for her!)
To thank her I finished this design she started and turned it into a pillow. I really hope she will like it!



I've also been working on the hallway floor and it's finished! I only need to add the baseboards.


The picture is a little dark. There's a bit of a storm today and it darker outside than usual.
But that's no problem, good weather for making miniatures!
